About
Promotion is one of those strategies every business owner or professional needs to learn to help their business or practice grow. Having a variety of strategies lets you achieve a broad reach when prospecting. All in all teleseminars are a great strategy to include in a promotion plan. The greatest part about teleseminars is the ability to transform them into a variety of "packages" to draw new prospects into your business or practice.
As I've work with clients, I'm continually amazed at the variety of ways teleseminars can be used. I'm looking forward to sharing many of these ideas so stay tuned.
I've always found promotion to be fun. There are always new ideas and tricks of the trade to try. Through the years I've been lucky to have some fantastic mentors who have helped me grow and learn.
This is a special thanks to those who have patiently explained, taught and counseled as I grew. My thanks to you all.
I was fortunate to spend time and learn about radio broadcasting at Maine Public Broadcasting (MPBN) in Orono with Keith McKeen. Keith took the time and the patience to deal with an eager learner who took forever to figure out editing an interview.
My television experience happened with the help of Dave Silverbrand and Barbara Quill of WGAN (now WGME) who taught me the importance of soundbites and how to pull a story together.
Brittany Wallman from the Sun-Sentinel showed me how to find stories in everyday life and to recognize deadlines.
And the Central Beach Alliance gave me the opportunity to test my promotion strategies and teach others "the how" of having their voices heard. Nothing like grassroots politics to teach you how the basics work!
To learn online promotion and subscription sites, I was fortunate to work with Ken McArthur of jvAlertlive.com (and many other sites) as an apprentice and then as a project manager during his launch of InfoProduct Blueprint.
Alex Mandossian has been the "go to" person for me when it comes to teleseminars. When Alex started Teleseminar Secrets, I was there. I took lots of notes and have had the opportunity to participate and host in many teleseminars since then. I've even hosted some virtual book tours. Those were great fun. It's always amazing to hear the various locations all over the world where people are calling from.
The technical side of the internet has always been a challenge to me, but Bob Jenkins also known as Bob the Teacher has been enormously helpful in coaching me on html, c-panel and those 'working' parts of being online.
Learning about promotion started at an early age. My aunt Cissy showed me how to set up a lemonade stand. But her gift was telling me how offering samples worked better than just saying “Lemonade for Sale” to construction workers on a hot summer day in Greenville SC. Lemonade stands can be a valuable learning tool for business and life.
As a result of being a good listener and learning from my many mentors I've learned to successfully promote in a variety of media. I thank all the mentors and people who helped me learn the value and techniques of promotion over time.
Today I’m working and showing others what I’ve learned through the years to promote themselves using Word of Mouse. Promotion and publicity is a process that takes time to build. But when the results start coming in you'll find your message is being heard by many not just a few.
Join me as I share how to promote yourself and your message using teleseminars.
