So why are you avoiding setting the date and time for your teleseminar? Here are some of the top reasons I've heard:

I'll sound stupid and won't know what to say.

What if no one calls in and I'm by myself?

I'm not mechanical/technical. I won't be able to do it.

There's no money in my budget for teleseminars.

Who do I know who would want to be interviewed? I'm not somebody important

I've never done it before.

Don't have the time to prepare.

My business couldn't be promoted with teleseminars.

I’ve talked about recycling teleclasses to use as a new product or for a new audience. But have you ever considered using a teleseminar you previously recorded as a lead generation tool?

Here’s an easy way from Alex Mandossian to show your expertise and reuse one of your great teleseminars. Put the audio files from one of your teleseminars on your web page.

You can set it up to play as streaming audio, where a person sits and listens.

Now here’s the lead generation part. On the back on your business card say, “To find out how to find the solution for _________(fill in the blank) easier and with less hassle, please visit www.YourSite.com .

“By visiting my website, you’ll get proven secrets from my 30 minute teleseminar and you don’t even have to give me your name and address.”

Lower on the page you can offer the person the ability to enroll in an e-course with an opt-in form on the bottom of the web page. Draw the person into your marketing funnel and let them see, hear and know for themselves the expertise you have in solving problems like theirs.

Back of business card promotion works. It’s easy and it makes your business cards do double duty. It also gives people a way of checking you out without committment.

Why not have your business card do more than just announce who you are? Have it sell your products or services as well.

Helping you connect, educate and sell with the speed of sound,

No matter if your business is offline, online or a combination; teleseminars can promote your business and increase sales.

You’ve heard, I'm sure the speech about finding your niche. "It’s important to find your niche or specialty. And to better serve that niche you need to discover their problems. Finally you deliver the solutions to those problems using your products or services. The result? A growing and profitable business or practice."

Great concept, but how can you actually make it happen? You want your business to not only have sales but to grow. Teleseminars can be an effective part of your marketing plan. Selling is a part of any business or practice.

Commodity Transactions vs Business Building Sales

Selling solutions is part of building your practice or business. But a business building sale can’t happen without a relationship.

True, there are things you buy without a relationship. Milk, toilet paper, soap—are all commodities. Commodity purchases are transactions. You buy without thinking. You don’t particularly care where you buy. You will switch brands if prices or other factors change.

But a business building sale involves developing a relationship between you and your customer or client. The business building focus is on the long term with repeat sales and referrals. You develop that relationship by letting people get to know, like and trust you. Teleseminars can can help you start a business building relationship quickly at the speed of sound.

Let People Get To Know You As A Person
Teleseminars are a marketing technique that lets people get to know, like and trust you. Holding a teleseminar lets you connect with your prospects providing them with the answers they want. This starts creating a relationship where your prospects begin to know you.

Build Trust By Demonstrating Expertise
Providing good content in your teleseminar shows your expertise. Whether it is you delivering the content or if you use a guest expert you become the expert by association with good content. Trust begins with recognition of your expertise.

Give People A Chance To Discover They Like You
Finally teleseminars give you the ability to connect with many people at the same time. It’s the “prospect once, reach many model.” People hear your voice and learn more about you as a person when you hold a teleseminar. Whether people do so consciously or not, they are making a decision whether they like you.

Consider what one teleseminar can grow into…

Helping you connect, educate and sell with the speed of sound,

How Easy?

Holding your own teleseminar is easy. All you need is a bridge line, a great topic that people want to listen to, and a way of promoting so people will get on the line. Having a teleseminar can extend your reach beyond your physical location. You can have global reach developing relationships and clients worldwide.

How Easy?

Step 1 You can set up a bridge line.

A bridge line is a specialized conference call system where hundreds of people can call into the same number at the same time.

There are so many options available, both free and paid. Two free options are FreeConferenceCall.com and TheBasementVentures.com .

Free Conference Call lets you have 96 people on the line, while The Basement Ventures will let you have up to 250 people. The advantage of these services is the price. The negatives include people who call in having to pay long distance charges, variable sound quality and rare bumps off the line.

Basement Ventures is one service I use when I want live participation. It has a control panel that lets me see who has a question. The person virtually raises their hand. I can unmute individual lines. You can record the call and download it or allow people to go for a replay. It has service that allows you to have up to 250 callers. It’s free.

Free Conference call lets you record and replay your calls. It doesn’t have the control panel for questions.

Both services are reasonably reliable. I say reasonably as on busy nights especially Tuesday and Thursday, occassionally calls will be dropped as bridgelines systems overwhelm. It’s only happen to me a couple of times, and everyone was able to get back on within 10 minutes. It just meant a lot of the selling momentum was lost though during the process.

At the present time I use Instant Teleseminar by Xiosoft. It has 200 phone lines and 2000 line capacity online with IM(instant messaging capability) so people can ask questions instantly during the teleconference. It’s $47/month for unlimited use.

The advantage is people from all over the world can use their computer for the webinar connection so people can make a choice whether or not they want to pay for phone access (long distance charges).

The call is recorded for you and you only have to go to the web page to hear the back up.

Instant Teleseminar does not have the control panel so you can’t use the raise hands function if you want to do a Q and A session. It does partially make up for it by having a question submission form which you can use before or during the teleseminar. The cost is less than a small cup of coffee at Starbucks only $1.57 a day.

Step 2 Find A Great Topic
You are an expert in your field. What do you know that you can share with people? What would they pay money or spend time to learn?

People will not give up their valuable time to hear you do a live commercial. How can you create value for your audience? How can your educate them? People go on a teleseminar to learn more about a particular topic or product. What can you deliver?

Cover a subject you know well. Or find an expert you can interview. You don’t have to be the ultimate expert on a topic. Having a guest can take off some of the pressure especially when you are first starting.

Step 3 Find people to attend your teleseminar.
Growing a business or developing a practice is all about developing a prospect or lead list and then turning the leads into customers. You can find people to attend your teleseminar in a variety of ways.

You can joint venture with people who have complimentary client lists.

You can promote to your existing client list and ask them for referrals.

Using online methods you can promote your teleseminar with your blog

You can pay for web traffic through PPC or other methods.

You can drive traffic by using social networking sites.

Sit down with your calendar, pad of paper, and pencil. Put in a date on your calendar with the time you want to hold your teleseminar.

Ok now go through the 3 steps and fill in the blanks. You've started on your 3 step teleseminar success plan. Congradulations.
