Keeping existing customers is an important part of any business, as is developing new leads to replace customers whot leave your business or practice.

No matter the type of business you are in, you are expert in what you do. That is you have expert knowledge in your field. Creatively using this knowledge can help you attract new prospects.

How can you demonstrate your expertise? Well, you can hold a teleseminar to teach other people what you do. Informative telecourses can attract a large number of qualified prospects for your products or services.

Just Starting?

What if you are just starting your business or practice? Don't worry. You can interview an industry expert or a former faculty member. Most people are flattered when asked to be the guest for an expert interview

Not sure who to ask?. Often you can find an author who wrote about your topic who is willing to be interviewed. Holding a successful telecall is possible whether you have been in business or practice for years or just graduated.

Leveling The Field Whether You're A Solopreneur Or Part Of A MegaCorporation

A teleseminar is great, because you don't have to be a large company to appear knowledgeable. The cost of holding a teleseminar is low, and equiptment is simple. You arrange a bridge line, which is a specialized conference call line, and add your home or office phone. That's it.

What Do You Say?

For the content give people lots of useful information. Your purpose is to sell you and your company as the expert and problem solver. Don't just hype your products. People want information not a commercial.

Teleseminars can build credibility with your audience. You are presenting the seminar giving great information. This gives you the expertise authority by hosting the telseseminar.

Talk about your listener's  problems and tell them the "why" of your solution.  If you plan your content correctly you will lead your listeners to the obvious conclusion: You and your business are knowledgable and trustworthy. They will leave with a positive feeling, that you and your business know  how to solve their problem.

Aim to have fun learning experience. Your teleseminar can be a rewarding and informative experience for the participants and you. Marketing works best when it grows your business and is enjoyable.

If you are a salesperson, speaker, coach, or a professional where you make your money by talking: teleseminars are a beautifully wrapped marketing gift.  Even if don't have the gift of gab, you can use teleseminars in a variety of ways to market your business. The value of the teleseminar for the business owner or professional is the ability to use the content again and again and again.  This doesn't mean you just repeat the same material over. It just means each teleseminar you do has the potential for being more than just one teleseminar by itself.

How You Ask?
When you host or present a teleseminar you are providing quality information. Right? Consider recording your teleconference and you can offer an mp3 download of the material. Say you did a teleseminar and the participants were thrilled and you were too. It sounded great, the content was fantastic. One of those days when everything just clicked.

It doesn't have to end there.  Was the teleseminar was absolutely amazing in the content and information you offered?  Or maybe it was the guest you interviewed.  Reuse the teleseminar.  You could have the interview copied onto a cd and then use it as a lead generation tool.  Or post it on your website or blog.

Develop An Alternate Revenue Stream
Or you could even sell it. Sell it? Yes, sell it.  People are looking for information online everyday. If your teleseminar delivered outstanding information, and there is a market for that information then you could sell the recordings.

But say you want other options. You could have the audio conference transcribed and sell or give  the transcription to people on your call. Some people like to be able to read the information they heard. Seeing the words reinforces the information  they heard.

Learning Styles For Different Folks
Learning styles vary by person. Some people learn best by hearing, others by seeing and still others by experiencing or doing.  so offer multiple alternatives for prospects and customers.

Some Additional Uses For Your Teleseminar
Say you don’t want to sell the transcribed teleseminar as a report. You could use sections of  the transcription as articles. You could polishthe sections and smooth them into the articles. You could then offer the articles as reprints available to your clients. Or you could add them to a newsletter either online or offline.

You could take the key points from the teleseminar transcripts and put them into a news release format. You can send the news release to a reporter at your local paper or news station.

Now sit back for a moment. Is there another audience you could reach with your teleseminar?  Could you repackage your information for a related audience? This can increase your prospecting reach with less time and effort. And if you decide to sell the teleseminar and with  the resulting “products” you can increase your revenue.

Consider what one teleseminar can grow into…

It’s that time again. Time for the monthly offsite training meeting where everyone travels to one location for the  educational session.

U.S. gas prices are already well over $3.00/gallon (definitely not in  most organizations' projected travel budget for this year). So many businesses are looking for ways to decrease meeting costs.  Yes it is important when a business has multiple branches or offices for co-workers to connect and discuss work issues but increased costs are making many organizations take a second look.

Offsite training in person offer the means to learn,  problem solve and decide on new directions for business. But is it really necessary to meet in person each and every month for a staff meeting?

Cost Effective Training Alternative To Off Site Education Meetings

Some managers are asking for an alternative to high cost off-site meetings. Teleseminars offer a cost-effective alternative. Since they don’t take place at a physical location teleconferences are easy to attend. No matter where the employee is, they can participate as long as they have access to a telephone.

The costs of set-up, hotel, parking, travel and meals are eliminated.  This makes a teleseminar extremely cost effective and easy to hold. The education is delivered and the result is cost effective training.

Teleseminars offer the opportunity for group interaction, problem solving and masterminding without the expenses and hassle of travel. To maintain the in person connection, offsite training  meetings could be alternated with teleseminar meetings.
